Introducing the latest flagship DAC, the Nu-Vista DAC, centered around the highly acclaimed ESS 32-bit HyperStream II DAC architecture. This cutting-edge DAC incorporates the renowned Nuvistor circuitry, featuring a fully balanced stage of Nuvistor 7586 triode tubes in a discrete Class A amplifier buffer. Boasting RCA and XLR outputs, 3x optical and 1x coax SPDIF inputs, 1x USB, and 1x AES/EBU inputs, it also includes an I2S input for a forthcoming Nu-Vista CD-player.

Technical Specifications:

Drawing from expertise with Sabre ESS chips, the Nu-Vista DAC utilizes dual ES9038Q2M chips in dual differential mode for a pristine dual mono design. These converters enable support for up to 768 kHz files in PCM and DSD256 via DoP, as well as native DSD512 via USB. Enhancements to SPDIF inputs include MQA (up to 384kHz) and DSD (DoP 64) support.

Digital Architecture:

The Nu-Vista DAC employs a low-noise, low-dropout regulator designed for high-performance audio, featuring a dual-regulator architecture and a Time Domain Jitter Eliminator for exceptional SNR and THD+N performance. The proprietary clock design achieves jitter rates below 100 femtoseconds, surpassing many respected audiophile clock generators. Additional features include optional upsampling, reclocking, oversampling bypass mode, and a range of digital filters.

The Legendary Nu-Vista Stage:

Unprecedented in hi-fi history, the Nu-Vista DAC combines Nuvistor tubes with state-of-the-art fully balanced and discrete technology. The DAC section seamlessly transitions into a high-performance, fully differential analog stage, delivering astonishing technical characteristics. Each channel incorporates a fully balanced Nuvistor output stage, resulting in a dreamlike, silky smooth sound with powerful transients and clarity.

Upsampling, Reclocking, and Digital Filters:

Utilizing the CPLD MAX II Altera for re-clocking, in conjunction with the XMOS microcontroller, the Nu-Vista DAC ensures high-quality processing for PCM, DSD, and MQA technology. It offers individual control over upsampling and reclocking for PCM signals, with specific settings and filters for DSD and MQA. The DAC provides eight selectable digital filters, including a proprietary optimal transient digital filter, balancing frequency and time domain performance.

Oversampling Bypass:

For ultra-high-res audio, the oversampling bypass mode is introduced for sample rates of 705.6k and 768kHz, bypassing the DAC's oversampling FIR filters. This mode enhances audio parameters and the frequency spectrum by eliminating remaining filtering, reducing on-chip PSU/ground noise, and lowering signal-correlated clock modulation on the ESS DAC's silicon die.

Designed for musical purists, the Nu-Vista DAC delivers a sweet and clear sound with grain-free, extended treble and endless bass dynamics. Customizable options and settings allow users to explore different perspectives and fully harness the DAC's capabilities, from sound stage manipulation to the experience of ultra-high-res files in oversampling bypass mode.

Super Silent Power Transformers:

Featuring Super Silent Power Transformers, the Nu-Vista DAC incorporates industrial-grade power sockets with EMI filters and DC blockers. The encapsulated toroidal transformer with low core saturation minimizes electromagnetic radiation, providing separation of digital and analog circuitry for immunity and isolation from digital HF interference. An optional upgrade includes the Nu-Vista Uni PSU for improved noise performance and enhanced mains isolation.
