Fanthorpes HiFi are now PS Audio dealers

PS Audio was founded in 1973 by audio designers Paul McGowan (the P) and Stan Warren (the S), in Santa Maria California.

PS Audio is now based in beautiful Boulder Colorado, nestled up against the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Products are engineered in-house from the ground up using some of the most sophisticated engineering and evaluation tools available. They are strong advocates of utilising the latest technologies in service of building state-of-the-art high value products for our customers.Their core products are all hand built in their modern production facilities in Boulder Colorado. PS Audio are a proud employer of more than 25 local artisans who design, build and make their products available all over the world. PS Audio's love of music and high-end audio has enabled them to build products and provide services that support both for nearly 40 years.

The PS Audio DirectStream Memory Player (DMP) is a universal optical disc transport with a twist inside: an advanced Digital Lens. The Lens, first invented in 1993 by PS Audio’s Paul McGowan and Bob Stadtherr, electrically isolates the mechanical transport/laser mechanism of optical disc readers, improves audio quality to a degree few systems have yet achieved, and focuses audio data into a single, bit-perfect, timing-perfected stream to your DAC.
