This amplifier incorporates the same groundbreaking design elements as John Franks' acclaimed ULTIMA PRE 3 preamp. Its design is a true work of art, featuring a sleek 28mm-thick front panel that exudes symmetrical beauty. At the center, you'll find a distinctive spherical power on/off control, adorned with our signature polychromatic lighting that can be dimmed, providing a clear indication of the amplifier's status. Adjacent to the power sphere, there's a newly designed combined volume and input selector, along with a combined balance and AV bypass control.

Meticulously crafted with precision, the amplifier's metalwork is machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum, including our iconic Integra legs. The upper panel showcases our classic vented design, now enhanced with an engraved dimmable LED light ring featuring our redesigned logo, providing a distinctive visual appeal day or night.

The ULTIMA INTEGRATED is available in two elegant finishes: Jett Black and Argent Silver. You also have the option to choose a highly polished black acrylic side block at no additional cost.

John Franks, the founder, owner, and chief designer of Chord Electronics, emphasizes, "The new ULTIMA INTEGRATED delivers performance that surpasses any other integrated amplifier. It incorporates four separate high-power line input phase-corrected power supplies, working harmoniously to provide the dynamic energy and fast transient power that our products are renowned for."

In addition to its four inputs, AV bypass, and balanced outputs, the rear panel of the amplifier features high-quality loudspeaker terminals, a 12V trigger, and a 10 AC-19 type IEC connector.

ULTIMA's groundbreaking topology represents the epitome of amplifier design, incorporating John Franks' latest circuit creation. Drawing on three decades of research, design, and engineering in Great Britain, ULTIMA stands as the ultimate expression of high-performance, ultra-fast, high-power amplifier technology. The design is based on a technical paper by Dr. Malcolm J Hawksford and refined by Bob Cordell of Bell Labs. John Franks further developed the theory, incorporating advanced concepts in ultra-high-frequency power supplies, which have been a cornerstone of our proprietary technology amplifiers since 1989.

Every ULTIMA amplifier is painstakingly hand-built at our riverside Kent factory, The Pump House, over several days, with dedicated engineers overseeing each build. The aircraft-grade solid aluminum casework ensures a high-end, non-resonant enclosure for the electronics. This casework, combined with the unique Integra Leg system, not only offers striking aesthetics but also allows you to stack it with various other full-size Chord Electronics products, including the Choral units such as the DAVE DAC/preamp and BLU MKII CD/digital transport, when using the dedicated Choral Ensemble stand.
